Ceftum, or cefuroxime is an antibiotic that is used to help people recover from several bacterial infections. It is easily available as an over-the-counter drug used by people under a doctor’s prescription to treat their illnesses and ailments. Adults are prescribed an oral dose of ceftum that ranges from 125 mg to 500 mg. It should be taken two times per day. The antibiotic course runs from 7-10 days.

Keep in mind that ceftum is not for treating viral infections like flu, viral fever, common cold, etc. It is effective when taken after meals. Consuming the correct dosage of this drug is crucial to its effectiveness. If you consume it on an empty stomach, you run the risk of suffering from an upset stomach.
